Being a full-time executive spouse (or wingspouse) is not different from any other career. Some choose this path. Others do not. If you want to be a successful wingspouse, you have to be professional, trustworthy and genuine. Your product is either marketable, or it is not. Customers either like you, or they do not. But who is the customer in your case? As the wife of an executive, your most important customers are your spouse, your spouse’s boss, and co-workers. Their attitude toward you can significantly impact your spouse’s career.
I remember being asked (during one of my husband’s past interviews) if I was willing to accept the “First Lady” role. I laughed at the time, naive to what that really meant but later I understood. My interaction with others has the potential to keep a customer happy or leave them wanting to return the product (my husband being the product). My role as the wife of a C-suite executive is not a whole lot different from the position held by any US Presidents’ wife, although I have never met the queen. The wingspouse role, however, is a powerful one.

It is just plain good manners to follow up with a thank-you letter after a job interview. If you’ve never heard that before, then you obviously weren’t raised by a mother like mine who insisted on sending anyone and everyone a handwritten note including the grocery carry-out boy.
But, it’s not just my people-pleasing mother who believes in thank you notes; etiquette manuals with business sections, from Ms. Manners to Emily Post, all agree that a thank you note is a must.
A thank you letter is much more than a nice thing to do. Of course, employers will appreciate your follow-up and respect, but the gesture also has many benefits for you. A thank you letter gives you the opportunity to ask an employer follow up questions about the job or company and to reiterate your interest and qualifications for the job. Even if you don’t have a particular question in mind, it is a good idea to reflect back on the interview to find part of the discussion that interested you and elaborate on that.

Massage may be defined as the application of a variety of techniques to the muscular structure and soft tissues of the body. Some of the intended benefits of massage are to reduce stress, improve circulation, and have a positive impact upon chronic conditions and overall health. Massage therapists use a variety of massage techniques to customize a massage for each client.
Swedish Massage
Swedish massage is perhaps the most well-known and recognizable form of massage. It was developed in Stockholm, Sweden more than 200 years ago. The goal behind Swedish massage is to relax the entire body by performing long gliding strokes upon muscles in the direction that blood returns to the heart. Some other techniques of Swedish massage include circular strokes applied by the palms of the hands, tapping, bending, and stretching. Swedish massage is very effective for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, releasing muscle toxins, reducing tension, and improving the client’s circulation and flexibility.

If you don’t have a green job, you may soon be left in the dust. Green-collar jobs have experienced a 9 percent increase in the last 10 years. There’s no turning back now.
The Obama Administration has proposed a $10 billion budget for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to develop new environmental programs aimed at protecting the country’s ecological resources, while creating new jobs. Additionally, President Obama promises to spend $150 billion over the next decade to create 5 million green-collar jobs. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act has siphoned billions of dollars into the development of renewable energy. Green building will support an estimated 7.9 million jobs by 2013 and the American Solar Energy Society predicts that renewable energy and energy efficiency will be responsible for 8.5 million new jobs in the years to come.
Four green jobs experiencing growth include: geothermal installers, environmental specialists, hybrid automobile specialists and OSHA safety-trained workers.
