It is just plain good manners to follow up with a thank-you letter after a job interview. If you’ve never heard that before, then you obviously weren’t raised by a mother like mine who insisted on sending anyone and everyone a handwritten note including the grocery carry-out boy.
But, it’s not just my people-pleasing mother who believes in thank you notes; etiquette manuals with business sections, from Ms. Manners to Emily Post, all agree that a thank you note is a must.
A thank you letter is much more than a nice thing to do. Of course, employers will appreciate your follow-up and respect, but the gesture also has many benefits for you. A thank you letter gives you the opportunity to ask an employer follow up questions about the job or company and to reiterate your interest and qualifications for the job. Even if you don’t have a particular question in mind, it is a good idea to reflect back on the interview to find part of the discussion that interested you and elaborate on that.

The internet is the place where most people go to find a product or a service. But people in business are forgetting about the grass roots advertising that people relied upon before the online revolution.
One of the grass roots forms of advertising was the door hangers. This is a great way to still get your business messages out. This is especially true if you are advertising your local business in the area of your business. People like to do business with people in their community.
What you need to do is find a reputable printing company to work with. You want to find a company that hires its own people to hang the hangers. You do not want to hang them yourself. Your time should be spent building your business and not walking up and down the neighborhood streets.

Have you ever wondered how workers are able to stock items on the extremely tall storage shelves at your local big box stores? Chances are they incorporate the use of lifts. While many different lifts are available today, the scissor lift is one that is commonly used due to its portability, convenience and the minimal amount of space it takes up compared to other equipment. This works by utilizing an aerial platform that is supported by heavy duty, scissor-action, linked metal arms that are raised and lowered with an electric or hydraulic system. Some of these lifts can raise a person and/or materials as far as 50 or more feet into the air.
